The Natural Sciences department is pleased to offer the following sites of interest: The Eleanor Barbour Cook Museum, CSC’s first museum, was conceived in 1938 by college president Robert Elliott in discussions with celebrated vertebrate paleontologist E.H. Barbour and his daughter and CSC's first geology professor, Eleanor Barbour Cook. The High Plains Herbarium is proud to display the largest physical plant record of the flora of Western Nebraska and surrounding areas including the historic Sand Hills region. The Veath Planetarium is a favorite of people of all ages and often hosts public shows.
